Fox News has severed ties with conservative pundit Stacey Dash after nearly three years and many Black Twitter users celebrated with sarcasm and humor.
The partisan network decided not to renew its contributor contract with Dash, usually seen on the all-female panel talk show “Outnumbered.” Fox initially hired Dash in May 2014 to “offer cultural analysis and commentary across various daytime and primetime programs,” Atlanta Black Star reported.
A spokesperson verified to The Hollywood Reporter Sunday, Jan. 22, that the “Clueless” star’s termination was decided in the fall. Although she has not appeared on Fox since September, her Twitter page, which last posted Monday, Jan. 23, still lists her as a contributor.
Over the past few years, the 50-year-old’s public stance saw her defending President Donald Trump during his campaign and calling for a ban on BET. Black Twitter took aim at Dash over those views.
