Although this year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards looked a lot different than previous years, it was still full of slimy fun for all. The virtually produced telecast, Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together, was hosted by Victoria Justice from Victorious. Although stars had to appear virtually, it was still unquestionably worth the watch!
So, what were some of the highlights from the event? Well, No Kid Hungry, a national campaign to end childhood hunger in America, received a $1 million donation in support of those affected by Covid-19; NBA Legend and icon LeBron James received the Nickelodeon 2020 Generation Change Award for his commitment to create lasting change for education; There was a special appearance from the Avengers: Endgame cast; and of course, many celebrities, such as Jojo Siwa and David Dobrik were doused with the green stuff.
Additional celebrity guests that put in special appearances during the night include Dwayne Johnson, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Camilla Cabello, Millie Bobby Brown, Ellen DeGeneres, BTS, Shawn Mendes, Lil Nas X, and more. Although many celebrities couldn’t walk the traditional orange carpet in person, that didn’t stop them from posting #throwback pics from last year.
