Kelly Rowland and her son, Titan, spent a day at the playground earlier this week. The celebrity mom was all smiles while helping her son and watching him learn things on his own.
Speaking of learning through trial and error, Kelly has established her own makeup line after enduring a number of horrific experiences. “I remember going to Europe and there was this one makeup artist — I’m a chocolate girl, and she made me look pink,” she told press. “And then when she tried again, I looked green. And then when she tried again, I looked way fairer than what I really am.”
Another instance of makeup fail came during an awards ceremony. “I looked like a monster in one picture. I remember Destiny’s Child went to the Brit Awards, and we tried to do our faces ourselves — I looked crazy. So I had to learn!”
In learning, Kelly established a line of her own that is especially for chocolate women. “Less makeup is more,” she said. “You can look like yourself – you don’t have to want to look like anybody else. Just be your own unique you. And intuition. As women, we have the best intuition, so just go with it. There’s nothing wrong with it, you’re spot on.”
Titan is Kelly Rowland’s only child with her husband, Tim Witherspoon. He celebrated his second birthday in November.
