Rapper Lil Uzi Vert went viral this week for wearing a pink-striped, bleached shirt that he said cost him a pretty penny.

A photo of Uzi clutching a pink Goyard bag and sporting a spiked choker circulated on social media Saturday, May 13. The top is designed by French brand Faith Connexion and can be found on Capsule by Eso’s website for $290.

But in a clip posted on Instagram, Uzi says he bought it for $2,400 after a fan compliments the unisex T-shirt.

When the image initially surfaced, reactions to the ensemble immediately poured in.
