Madonna kicked off her Madame X Tour in Brooklyn, New York, earlier this week. The celebrity mom had the support of Rosie O’Donnell along with backup onstage from her kids – Mercy, Estere, and Stelle.

Madonna got lots of hugs and kisses from her twins backstage. The celebrity mom also got in a bit of mother-daughter time before taking the stage. “Backstage kisses for courage before run-thru,” Madonna shared along with a picture of her taking a selfie and receiving a kiss on the forehead from her daughter. “This is so sweet,” one fan wrote online. “So much love here,” another Instagram follower commented.

The Madame X Tour is based on Madonna’s latest album, Madame X. The celebrity mom gave insight into her creative process when making the album during a recent interview with Billboard. “I was thinking about how the music was influenced by so many parts of the world,” Madonna shared.

“Each time I collaborate with somebody or I work with another artist, I have a different feeling but I’m still the same,” the veteran recording artist explained. “[Jeremy Scott and I] were discussing my encounter with Martha Graham and she kept complaining that she couldn’t identify me as a student in her class and I felt the same way while recording in that moment.”
