Kandi Burruss celebrated the premiere of her three-part reality series, ‘Kandi’s Ski Trip,’ with a family and friends earlier this week. The entrepreneur and her husband, Todd Tucker, held a VIP watch party at Suite Lounge in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday. Riley, Kandi’s daughter, was right by her mother’s side as she showcased the first episode during the celebration.
Anyone who saw the premiere of ‘Kandi’s Ski Trip’ on Monday knows that drama is brewing on the slopes. While Kandi and Todd are working through their issues, the singer’s opinionated aunts, Bertha and Nora, hold their tongues for no one. Bertha was especially vibrant in the first episode as she told Kandi that the Colorado scenery wasn’t all that beautiful. Although Kandi’s mother, Mama Joyce, has been more conscious of her words since the sudden death of Todd’s mother, it is only a matter of time before she expresses her feelings in the most forward way.
Burruss told media that the intention of the show was “to bring both families together so we could work things out and be on the same page.” She even sings a song about mending and blending, in which her husband sings along, during the trailer. This ski trip to the Rocky Mountains, however, doesn’t seem to be all that harmonious.
