Tracee Ellis Ross got quite the surprise as her sister, Rhonda Ross, and nephew, Raif-Henok Emmanuel Kendrick, stopped by Disney Studios to visit her on the set of Black-ish. Rhonda shared pictures and footage from her and Raif’s trip.
“So fun to spend the day with @traceeellisross on the set of @blackishabc,” Rhonda shared on Instagram. “Got a whole bunch of great shots of her, but because the episode hasn’t aired yet — they are a secret. Shhhhhhh,” she exclaimed. “We’ll just have to make do with shots of me and #RaifHenok! Haha!”
Raif-Henok celebrated his eighth birthday this past weekend with cake and loved ones. The little one took a hilarious picture next to his delightful dessert that bore “Happy Birthday” along with the number, 8,000. “Thank you #RaifHenok for bringing your Spirit, your Imagination, your Mind and your Big, Big Heart into our lives,” Rhonda exclaimed. “You are TRULY God-Sent Happy 8th (or is it 8000th?) Birthday!”
It seems like yesterday that Rhonda was sharing Raif’s epic accomplishment of being a 3-year-old who spoke four languages. “It started very innocently,” Rhonda explained. “At six months is when we started introducing the French, and at a year is when I started exclusively speaking to him in French. My husband speaks to him in English. He has a babysitter that comes three afternoons a week that speaks to him only in Spanish. He also has a Chinese babysitter that comes a couple of times a week that speaks to him only in Mandarin.”
