Grammy-winning artist Rihanna is in hot water. Her clothing line collaboration with Puma is being accused of trademark infringement. “Fenty University” of Fenty X Puma is being accused of ripping off the initials “FU” from another clothing company.
American clothing line ‘Freedom United’ uses the same initials “FU” on their clothing. They sent Puma a cease and desist letter in January and claimed that Rihanna was fully aware the initials represented their clothing line.
Last month, Puma responded to the allegations in a letter obtained by TMZ that the “FU” initials are in a different font and the company has already discontinued the collection.
“Freedom United” still plans to sue and wants the singer to disclose the profits from the discontinued clothing line.
