The Obama family celebrated “Christmas in Washington” at the 30th annual concert on Sunday, December 11, 2011. President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle, daughters Sasha,10, and Malia,13, and mother-in-law Marian Robinson were joined by Justin Bieber, Cee Lo Green, Jennifer Hudson and other stars who attended the event.
In his brief speech to concert guests, President Obama encouraged everyone to resemble the message of Jesus Christ by showing love and forgiveness to one another. As the president states,”…let us all rededicate ourselves to each other. And in that spirit, from my family to yours, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, God bless you all, and God bless the Unite States of America.”
“Christmas in Washington” was hosted by Conan O’Brien this year, and was held at the National Building Museum. The concert will benefit the Children’s National Medical Center, and is scheduled to air on Friday, December 16, 2011 via TNT.
