Tomorrow morning, the nominees for the 2012 Academy Awards will be announced, but who cares about that? Today, the Golden Raspberry Awards, AKA “The Razzies” released their roster of nominated films. The catch being that you’re unlikely to see The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, That’s My Boy, or Battleship on any other list of lauded movies this year. That’s because the Razzies are dedicated to dishonoring the worst in film. They’ve been up to their shenanigans since 1981, and it remains mostly harmless fun. Although the nominees are usually pretty samey, which is a shame, since there’s always such a great breadth of bad cinema every year.
The “winners” of the Razzie Awards will be announced in a ceremony on Saturday, February 23rd. Here are the nominees:
