Today is Cairo Hardrict’s birthday! Tia Mowry took to Instagram to give her daughter a sweet message on her special day.
“My darling baby girl #cairo. Having children was never easy for me. Maybe that’s why I waited so long to try and go for a second round,” the Family Reunion star said. “I will tell you this, I am so glad I didn’t give up,” Tia shared.
“#Cairo, you have changed my life in so many beautiful ways,” the actress wrote to her daughter. “Being your mother brings me so much joy! You are hilarious, funny, smart, and full of hugs and kisses. #happybirthday my darling sweet #cairo! We will celebrate you today.”
Cairo Tiahna Hardrict was born on May 5, 2018. She came as a blessing to Tia who changed her eating habits to battle fertility struggles that initially prevented her from conceiving another child.
“I’ve been very open with telling everybody that I suffer from something called endometriosis, which is a highly inflammatory condition that causes infertility,” Tia said during an interview with Black Enterprise last year.
“I changed my diet. I started to eat more veggies, to eat more fruits, [and] to stay away from foods that caused inflammation within the body, which can exacerbate an inflammatory condition. I started exercising. I started meditating. I started taking supplements.”
The results from Mowry’s lifestyle changes were impressive. “I saw this huge change within my health,” Mowry revealed. “I no longer had eczema. I no longer had migraines,” the actress shared. “The biggest change, of course, was I was able to have children.”
Cairo made Tia Mowry and her husband, Cory Hardrict, parents for the second time. The celebrity couple also has a son named Cree who celebrates his tenth birthday next month. Tia and Cory commemorate 13 years of marriage this year.
