UCC SANDWICH DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Direct Entry

Post-Senior High School candidates with passes in 5 subjects. Three (3) of the (5) subjects must be in core subjects (including English language, Mathematics and either Integrated Science or Social Studies) and two elective subjects with a minimum aggregate of 24 for SSSCE and 36 for WASSCE or ‘O’ level

Applicants with Teachers’ Certificate ‘A’ or Certificate in Early Childhood Education from recognized institutions with GPA of 2.5 or better

Entry through Examination and Interview

Applicants must be 25 years and above and must have written SSSCE, WASSCE, ‘O’ Level or an equivalent examination with at least three passes

Applicants with a certificate in Early Childhood Education from recognized institutions with GPA between 2.4 and 1.5

Note: Candidates in the category (2) would be required to pass a selection examination and interview scheduled for 21st March.

DURATION

The programme is by sandwich and will cover three long vacation periods of eight (8) weeks each (June – July)

UCC SANDWICH POST-DIPLOMA (B.ED) DEGREE PROGRAMME IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants with Diploma in Early Childhood Education from recognized institutions with a GPA of 2.5 or better

Entry through Examination and Interview

Applicants with Diploma in Early Childhood Education from recognized institutions with a GPA of 2.4 and 1.5

DURATION

The programme is by sandwich and will cover two years. A long vacation periods of eight (8) weeks (June – July), a short vacation of four (4) weeks (December – January) and another long vacation of eight (8) weeks (June – July).

Then Click on your related mode of study on the page by choosing from the options of either Regular Programmes/Graduate Distance Application, Undergraduate Distance Learning Programmes Application, Sandwich Programmes Application or Institute of Education (Sandwich) Programmes Application.

Afterwards, you will be redirected to the login page

On the login page Select Application Level which is either Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor, etc.

Then Select the Application Type which either Post WASSCE First Degree, Regular Graduate Studies, First Degree (Mature Entry) , Distance, etc.

Then enter your serial number and pin on the evoucher card you purchased. ( keep the card safe for subsequent login)

Then Click the “I have carefully read all instructions”

Afterwards Click the login button to begin filling the Online UCC admission application form in stages

Then Fill the Application form and attach all required documents and passport picture ( must be JPG or JPEG format and not exceed 20KB )

After filling the Online UCC admission application form, Click ‘Preview’ or ‘Accept’ button to either preview the details you entered or accept them.

You can as well Click on the ‘Edit button’ to make changes to your application or Click the ‘Save and Continue later button’ to save your application form to return later to continue the application.

If you are satisfied with all details you have provided, Click ‘Submit and Print Confirmation’ to submit the online application form

Afterwards, Click the ‘Print’ button to Print your Confirmation Page / filled online application form.

Dont forget to keep the card safe for subsequent login, Keep your printed Confirmation Page safe as You will require your Reference Number shown on the page to check your admission status and print your admission letter.

After printing the Confirmation Page / filled online application form, click on the “Log out” button.

Each Applicant is required to print a copy of his/her confirmation page, attach his/her results slip(s) and any other documents deemed important and forward them by post to The Deputy Registrar, Division of Academic Affairs, University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast.
