    UCC UNDERGRADUATE, DISTANCE, SANDWICH, MATURE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

    Here is the UNIVERSITY OF CAPE COAST UNDERGRADUATE, DISTANCE, SANDWICH, MATURE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

    UCC Minimum Requirements For WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants

  • The Minimum Admission Requirements into the University of Cape Coast is aggregate 36 for WASSCE applicants and aggregate 24 For SSSCE applicants.
  • WASSCE Or SSSCE applicants must have credit passes in six (6) subjects with overall aggregate not more than aggregate 36 for WASSCE  and not more than aggregate 24 for SSSCE.
  • Three of the six subjects must be core subjects namely English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies and three must be in relevant electives.
  • For purposes of admission, a credit pass in WASSCE means A1 – C6 and a credit pass in SSSCE means A – D.

    • UCC Minimum Requirements For General Certificate of Education (GCE) Applicants

  • Applicants with General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level (obtained not more than three years ago) must, in addition to credit passes in five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level subjects (including English and Mathematics), have, at least, two (2) passes in relevant subjects.

    • UCC Minimum Requirements For General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) Applicants

  • Applicants with the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) results should have credit passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects including English Language and Mathematics and three (3) relevant elective subjects.

    • UCC Minimum Requirements For General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Applicants

    Holders of the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)/ International Baccalaureate (IB) must possess at least Grades A* or A-C in English, Mathematics and Biology at the Standard (SL)/’O’ Level, in addition to three Higher Level (HL – A to C)/’A’ Level (A to D)/IB 2 (A to C) grades in the relevant subjects.

    UCC Admission Detailed Application Procedures: How To Apply

    All WASSCE applicants awaiting the WASSCE results should select the “Awaiting Results” option before providing their examination details. Those who already have results Must NOT select the “Awaiting Results” option but rather go ahead to verify their results.

    Applicants are to ensure that the programmes selected as their 1st and 2nd choice options are the same as those indicated by course code as stated above.

  • To begin the UCC Admission Application Procedures, Visit the official UCC Portal : https://apply.ucc.edu.gh/.
  • Then Click on the mode of study on the page, which is either Regular Programmes/Graduate Distance Application, Undergraduate Distance Learning Programmes Application, Sandwich Programmes Application or Institute of Education (Sandwich) Programmes Application.
  • Afterwards, you will be redirected to the login page
  • On the login page Select Application Level which is either Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor, etc.
  • Then Select the Application Type which either Post WASSCE First Degree, Regular Graduate Studies, First Degree (Mature Entry) , Distance, etc.
  • Then enter your serial number and pin on the evoucher card you purchased. ( keep the card safe for subsequent login)
  • Then Click the “I have carefully read all instructions”
  • Afterwards Click the login button to begin filling the Online UCC admission application form in stages
  • Then Fill the Application form and attach all required documents and passport picture ( must be JPG or JPEG format and not exceed 20KB )
  • After filling the Online UCC admission application form, Click ‘Preview’ or ‘Accept’ button to either preview the details you entered or accept them.
  • You can as well Click on the ‘Edit button’ to make changes to your application or Click the ‘Save and Continue later button’ to save your application form to return later to continue the application.
  • If you are satisfied with all details you have provided, Click ‘Submit and Print Confirmation’ to submit the online application form
  • Afterwards, Click the ‘Print’ button to Print your Confirmation Page / filled online application form.
  • Dont forget to keep the card safe for subsequent login, Keep your printed Confirmation Page safe as You will require your Reference Number shown on the page to check your admission status and print your admission letter.
  • After printing the Confirmation Page / filled online application form, click on the “Log out” button.
  • Each Applicant is required to print two copies each of his/her confirmation page, attach his/her results slip(s) and any other documents deemed important and forward them by post to The Deputy Registrar, Division of Academic Affairs, University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast. Quoting your Application Reference Number on the envelop.

    Graduate Applicants are to print two copies of the Reference Form to be given to Referees who will complete and seal them for the applicant to post them together with other items listed below to The Deputy Registrar, School of Graduate Studies and Research, University of Cape Coast :

  • Two (2) copies of relevant certificates authenticated by the awarding institution
  • Two (2) original copies of results slips or transcript of academic records
  • Two (2) sealed Referees’ Reports (Download Graduate Reference Form)
