WENDY WILLIAMS: I DONT WANT TO BE HIS FRIEND. I AM HIS MOTHER

If you’re going through the terrible teens with your kid, Wendy Williams can relate. The talk show host tells Life & Style magazine that her 13-year-old son, Kevin, is giving her a hard time but she’s adamant about discipline.

“I’m trying to discipline my son,” says Wendy. “I don’t want to be his friend — I am his mother, and I am the boss. I will not get lost in the pool of disrespect that I see coming from kids his age. He will not curse at me and he will never, ever roll his eyes!”

It was just a few weeks ago that Williams was brought to tears on her show while telling viewers that she didn’t think her son liked her anymore. Of course, Kevin gave her a card and verbally expressed his love for mom after the show, making Wendy feel a bit better about their relationship. “He made me a beautiful card and gave it to me the next day,” says the talk show host. “There’s no guarantee he’ll turn out right — but I’m doing what I think is right as his mom.”

Kevin is Wendy’s son with husband, Kevin Hunter Sr.
