1. Recruitment Of Fulfillment Operations Professional At Zipline ( Nothern, Western North, Ashanti And Eastern Region)
As a member of Zipline’s Fulfillment Operations team in Walewale, North East, Ghana, you will be in charge of making sure delivery of medical products from Zipline distribution center to hospitals around the world are completed seamlessly. In order to achieve this, you will be involved in client support, quality assurance, inventory & warehouse tracking, and building relationship with our facilities.
WITHIN 1 MONTH: You will become a certified Fulfillment Operator, and take an active role in ensuring that you have all the tools and knowledge you require to get the job done. You will work with an advocate to track and report your progress against a clear set of training and certification KPIs.
WITHIN 3 MONTHS: You will be able to handle all communications with our customers and handle new challenges that arise with the team. You will work with a team and peer mentor to ensure you have full understanding of all the aspects of our supply chain, inventory management, and stakeholders.
WITHIN 6 MONTHS: You will be given more responsibilities such as drafting reports for our different stakeholders, collecting feedback from customers, compiling reports, and analyzing findings. You will also be able train new recruits on fulfillment material and shadow them during the first month
WITHIN 12 MONTHS: You will be able to process all deliveries autonomously and create new procedures as needed based on company growth and diversification of projects. You will play an active role creating new Fulfillment Operations strategy and collaborating with teams and leadership on ongoing projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customer Service & Order Fulfillment: You will be the first line when it comes to fielding orders from customers & ensuring they have a high quality & excellent experience.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management: Organizing and managing supplies and equipment to ensure as the company scales, proper management procedures are in place.
- Product Handling: Manage & prepare packages to be delivered via drone to the hospitals and clinics to ensure quality & speed of delivery.
- Best Practices & Safety Management: Work with a team to perform daily quality control, oversee safety and regulations at the Zipline distribution center.
- Strategic Improvement & Planning: Participate in constant analysis and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures based on community feedback, and government and company requirements.
- Forecasting: Predicting & modeling volumes of supply chain.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred: Bachelors in Sciences preferably in Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biomedical Laboratory and Microbiology

The Global Fulfillment Team is responsible for the software that drives Zipline’s operations, customer experience, and client experience. This team owns the software that doctors and nurses at hospitals use to place orders, that our operations team uses to manage inventory and fulfill incoming orders, and that our key stakeholders use to understand what deliveries we’ve made and when.
As this team’s first full-stack software engineer in Africa, you will work closely with our local operations teams in Rwanda and Ghana. You’ll also engage with our external customers. We’re a team of data scientists and software engineers working to democratize Zipline’s data, ensuring every employee has timely access to relevant, accurate data, closing the gap between our teams and our customers.
Our data sources include
- Hundreds of MBs of time series telemetry generated by every flight
- Ground equipment data streams
- Ordering and Inventory tracking databases
We’re responsible for
- Building scalable, reliable data pipelines to upload and process data from our distribution centers.
- Creating and sharing flexible utilities, tools, and platforms for analysis.
- Using that infrastructure to answer Zipline’s most difficult (big, interdisciplinary, messy) data science questions while filling analysis gaps between teams.

Data Platforms
In addition to the data pipelines that upload, process, and archive data from each distribution center, we’re responsible for a number of platforms used to access that data. These include:
1) a web front-end used to query, view, and download flight and ground equipment logs
2) a cloud-hosted python notebook environment built on top of Databricks for exploratory data analysis and batch processing
3) a dashboarding platform (aka BI tool) for building and sharing interactive data visualizations, using both Periscope and Snowflake.
About the role
We’re building a world-class, ultra-fast delivery operation that is responsible for delivering truly precious cargo. To achieve this, we must put data in the hands of decision-makers at every level of the company, driving decision-making and enabling accountability. As Zipline’s Data Platform Lead, you’ll own our data dashboarding platform, working with a wide variety of product, engineering, and operations teams to create rich, interactive visualizations and dashboards, informing decision-making, streamlining operations, and generating reports to our customers.
Location
We believe in the power of being close to the end user. To better serve operations and our customers on the continent, Zipline’s data team is expanding from California to Ghana, where we’re also building a small team of operations data analysts. This role includes ~1 month/year of international travel to support our team’s global user-base.
Responsibilities
- Enable analysts across the company using Zipline’s data dashboarding platform. This includes everything from providing access and onboarding to sharing tips & tricks for communicating data visually.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap of new features as our user base grows and use cases expand.
- Support the addition of new data sources on the back-end.
Strong candidates will have many of these traits
- Product vision: a customer-centric mindset and the capacity to ruthlessly prioritize the development of new features
- Data engineering: you won’t just be managing a product, but also implementing features, e.g. prototyping a Python-centric ETL of new data sources into the data warehouse to make them available for dashboarding & reporting

The Zips (our delivery drones) are the core of our business, and Flight Operators play a critical role in keeping everyone at our distribution centers and neighboring communities safe. This role is crucial to us because we are setting up new Distribution Centers, and need some incredible Flight Operators to make sure our drone deliveries are completed seamlessly.
WITHIN 1 MONTH: You will receive elite Zip training that includes professional courses as well apprenticeship with the rest of the Flight Ops team to learn on the job.
WITHIN 3 MONTHS: You will become a certified Flight Ops professional – Being able to handle Pre-flight, Post-flight, Launching Zips, and incident response alone, and have a thorough understanding of Zip hardware.
WITHIN 6 MONTHS: You will have mastered vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting recurring incidents and processes with the Africa-based and California-based teams. You will be responsible to contribute on a daily basis regarding process and vehicle improvements.
WITHIN 12 MONTHS: You will be looked to as someone to run the Nest, fielding questions from your team and helping onboard new apprentices coming on-board. Zipline is expanding rapidly, and peer-mentors will become a crucial part to scaling up
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take Off: Conduct pre-flight inspection with Zips, Work with Flight Controllers to launch Zips, Prepare ground equipment for inbound Zips
- Drone & Technical Maintenance: Perform Zip field maintenance and repair any AVC that have experienced incidents
- Troubleshooting: Collaborate with locally-based and USA-based engineering team to troubleshoot & optimize issues
- Collaboration: Work with a team to scale drone deliveries to 100+ deliveries per day at one distribution center

- Minimum of High National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering OR
- 3+ years working experience as a Maintenance Technician for Aircrafts, Power Turbines, Mining Equipment or other Complex Technical Equipment
